Words of Wisdom

Alan and I were married for 29 years.  He died in 2015. In the evening's Alan would read something and usually make notes about the subject or just write down his thoughts from what he took from the reading. His interests varied so we had a house full of books and magazines.  He would fill pages and pages of notebooks. I was going through some boxes after his passing and found one of his journals. Below are some words of wisdom he wrote on the inside cover of one notebook.

1. Open your mind to everything.
2. You can't give what you don't have.
3. No justified resentment (you must send blame out of your life)
4. Dance to your own music.
5. Embrace silence (Go to your happy place)
6. Give up your past. (Release the negative thoughts)
7. You can't solve your problems with the same mind that caused them.
8. Treat yourself like you are what your want to be.
9. Trust your destiny.
10. Wisdom is avoiding all thoughts that weaken you.

I have kept these words since the day I found them and refer to them on occasion.

Maybe you can use these thoughts to help in your day-to-day living.
