Fruit of Life
Today I had the honor of attending an awards ceremony with my teammates Tom Miller and Michael Miller. We were served Chic Fil A chicken biscuit and a cup of fruit for breakfast. That cup of fruit revived a memory from when my first husband was so very sick and bedridden. He required 24-hour care and I was by his side for most of 5 months before his passing. D uring that time I was blessed with friends who would come to the house to visit or call and offer to help in any way they could. One day, Caroline Miller called to check on us. During our conversation, we discussed how hard it was for me to get out just to get groceries. She asked me if I could have one thing that I didn’t have what would it be, I replied fruit.
