Beautiful Assurance

Easter, for me, is more than a date on the calendar or a tradition we observe each spring. It is a personal reminder of who God is—and who we are because of Him.

At its core, Easter is about sacrifice. It is the moment in history where mercy met humanity in its brokenness. Through God’s sacrifice, we are given something we could never earn on our own—forgiveness. Not because we deserve it, but because He chose to offer it. All we have to do is ask.

Easter reminds me that no matter how far we may wander, God’s mercy is always greater than our mistakes.

It is also a celebration of new beginnings. The resurrection of Jesus is not just a past event—it is a present promise. It tells us that nothing is too far gone, nothing is beyond redemption, and no life is too broken to be made new. Just as the tomb was emptied, we are given the chance to leave behind what once held us and step into something restored.

Easter carries with it a quiet but undeniable power—the power over sin, over fear, and even over death itself. That power is not distant or unreachable; it is alive and available to us. It strengthens us, lifts us, and reminds us that we are never walking through life alone.

Love is at the heart of it all.

A love that reached down before we ever looked up.
A love that chose us before we chose Him.
A love that reminds us, as Scripture says, that “He first loved us.”

Because of that truth, we can stand confidently in this: We are loved. Not conditionally. Not temporarily. But fully, deeply, and eternally.

And because He lives, we live.

That simple truth changes everything. It means our story does not end in defeat. It means hope is not wishful thinking—it is a living, breathing promise. It means that no matter what we face, life has already won.

So for me, Easter is not just a celebration. It is a reminder.

A reminder of mercy that forgives.
Of new beginnings that restore.
Of power that overcomes.
Of love that never fails.
And of hope that is alive.

Easter is the beautiful assurance that because He lives…we truly live.
